According to a Washington Post article more women received PhD’s than men last year. As much as the WP would like us to believe that this means women are getting past our suffrage, it’s not. Women can achieve anything in education just as men can. In the U.S. going to college is equal opportunity as long as you’re just as smart. The fact that we “can’t” isn’t substantial, the fact is that we (women) haven’t before. This article, however, is well written and gives accurate facts that don’t give one sided situations or facts that show that men are still glorified. The truth of this article shows what is real and gives an example to many writers and publishers who work in a journalistic setting what is expected from the public.
